I've prepared this activity based on the song "Lovely" by Twenty One Pilots for my teenage students. There are three tasks: first they do a multiple choice quiz to test their knowledge of some important facts about the band, then they do some vocabulary work (based on the song) and finally they have a listening activity.

Halloween Escape Game

I just love using escape games to get my students speaking. Here's the one I've found for this year's lessons.
  I usually prepare a list of words and grammar structures they might need and play it myself to make sure it isn't too hard. That's so much fun!
 These games can be used with different levels - you only adjust the vocabulary and grammar used to match your students' abilities.

Pronunciation Game (Find the right word)

With this game students revise sounds [k], [g], [ dʒ ], [ tʃ ], [ æ ], [e], [ɪə], [eə], [θ], [ ð ], [ɔː] and [ əʊ ].

Recognizing the Past, Present and Future Simple tenses

There is a video underneath the puzzle - "The Opposites" (kids can watch and move - great for a short break).

Students choose a sound and then click on words that contain it. There are 6 words for each sound. Gradually, each puzzle piece will reveal a part of a funny picture, that can be used for a speaking activity afterwards.

At School (an interactive worksheet)

Students watch and listen to the audiobook "At School" by Potato Pals, then sing along with them in the second video and do 3 activities afterwards.
